Move-In Day 2016 Recap

Dear Families of the Class of 2020,

Hope all of you who traveled far to Williamstown got back home safe, sound, and not too homesick for your students.

Go here for great photos of Move-In Day, here to see what it takes to capture a great class photo, and here to order a copy of that great photo for yourselves.

In case you missed our Move-In Day family presentations (or weren’t able to accompany your student to campus), here are Williams’ welcome ceremony and presentation for families of varsity athletes.

If you’d like a deeper look at Williams opportunities and support services (so that you can join us in encouraging your students to take advantage of them!), here are panel discussions on Managing College ExpensesCaring from Afar, Living at Williams  and Learning Beyond the Classroom. (These were recorded during Move-In Day 2016: Very few families had time to attend them last year, so we didn’t offer them this year, but they do offer lots of great info that’s still current, relevant, and now available to be viewed at your leisure.)

If you’re planning to came back for Family Days, you can register online now. There’s room for all who want to come, and nearly all the programming’s free. We’ll send out a reminder or two between now and our October 10 registration deadline…and even that deadline’s just so we have a “head count” for event venues and dining facilities.

Meanwhile, the view below (from the roof of Hopkins Hall) shows a quiet campus, as your students have all headed out on their EphVentures!
